Some characters are based on the television show The Young Riders.
Most TYR fan fic carries on either within the show's time frame or after, including many of the characters. My fiction is slightly different as I tend to use very few of TYR cast, typically 1-3 in most stories and new characters of my own creation. I also tend to write after the Express, as well as after the Civil War, though SOME will carry through several years so please note the dates in the chapter headings!

The Young Riders was a television series that ran in the US for three seasons, from 1989–1992. A modern and young take on westerns. The Young Riders has a loyal fan base that to this day, loves to see their hero's in action!

Please note with regards to Buck
Most of my stories are centered around Buck. I absolutely adored this character, and it certainly helped that the actor portraying him was exceptionally good looking :) - please do not confuse my TY fan fic with any type of Native American Fiction or Romance. Though of course Buck is Kiowa I try to keep my fiction as as *BUCK* as possible and stay out of the NA Fiction Genre.
Fictional characters VS the real deal i.e. "Cody, Jimmy, etc"
I find it very difficult to use these characters as they are true historic people and as I typically pick time frames much after the Express is over and William F. Cody, James Butler Hickok, Jesse & Frank James' histories are well documented. I have in some stories used these characters however and please note that when they are used, though these are actual people this is FICTION. While I do keep dates and time frame relevant, history correct, personalities and such are completely fictionalized. *Specifically with regards to The Outlaw's End
Sweetwater Nebraska
I've seen a lot of confusion on where is Sweetwater suppose to be? Personally I use the following information on where I have based it for writing purposes.
Sweetwater is an unincorporated community in Beaver Township, Buffalo County, Nebraska, United States. It lies along Nebraska Highway 2, half way between Ravenna and Hazard. It is a part of the Kearney, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. Sweetwater is located on Mud Creek, a tributary of the South Loup River. SOURCE
Religion, Railroad & The Civil War
While I haven't taken on a story during the war or with too much of the Civil War, content... Religion, Railroads, and the Civil War, as well as Telegraphs, Reservations and so many more HUGE topics take place during such a short time frame. Some of my stories may "push" the package of the "typical" Buck character. If I didn't push his character I would be board with him.. so I hope you like getting a different feel for him in different context as well.
Alternate Universe - "A/U"
Lost Series - involves time travel. However with Ceaseless Endearment true Kiowa tradition was not kept with how Ike's death was handled IMO, All information I have found on Kiowa burials during this time were not as shown in TYR show.. Ike would have been buried. Thus this story does deviate slightly, thus A/U
Please keep in mind language of the time.. No one used the terms "African American" or "Native American" and during this time in the US these groups of people were typically spoken of in a derogatory manner . While I try to keep it as inoffensive as possible.. please keep in mind... language of the day. And let's face it.. villains are offensive most of the time!

Unless referenced in the story page you should find the content would match what you would have seen in the show PG, so nothing too racy or violent. There are a few that deviate from this, they are noted. However "adult content" is not erotica, it's just too steamy for something they would have shown on TYR.
Who are the women in the pictures?
I take several features of different people and morph them together. So it's not actually a real person in a sense. Rider Comin' does not own copy write to these pictures however, please do not steal or post with out credit.
Difference in editions
Sometimes I'll read an old story and find things to add in later so I mark it with a change in "edition" and date it so you will easily be able to see if there are any changes. Typically the changes aren't terribly story changing.
